Can a claimant pay cash for chiropractic treatment when NYS Workers Comp limits them?

For example: A person suffers a personal injury and is on workers comp. This person receives 4 treatments a month, however NYS workers comp board feels they should only receive 3 treatments per month. Can the claimant pay cash for the extra treatment? Please provide a reference if possible. Thanks!

Does chiropractic really helpful for lower back pain and neck pain?

Is chiropractic safe, effective and cost-effective for Back Pain? Does the full spinal x-ray cause any harms to the body? Why are there some practice of chiropractic still continue on without a clear x-ray image? Is the x-ray mandatory for Chiropractic?

My first chiropractic experience was out of desperation. I had such pain in my hands and numbness and every doctor offered surgery to cure the carpal tunnel syndrome I had. The chiropractor explained that not all hand pain is from carpal tunnel and checked me out. His opinion was that I had Pinched Nerves in my neck, treated it and over the course of a couple weeks, eased the discomfort and also taught me ways to help myself. I haven’t had to go back because now I know how to help myself. He also brought me through a serious bout of muscle spasm in my back. my regular doctor had me off work for 3 weeks, taking lots of muscle relaxers and laying around the chiropractor told me of natural muscle relaxers and how to care for myself and had me back to work in 3 days but kept treating me for about a week. As far as I am concerned, he is a gift from God!! He also did the exrays and diagnosed the arthritis in my spine years before my regular Doctor did.

What do chiropractors typically major in before they go to a chiropractic college?

Im interested in being a chiropractor and i am currently majoring in biology. however, i was curious to know what other possible majors i could check out primarily because biology is just a rather difficult major.

Also what are some really good Chiropractic colleges out there? Right now im interested in Palmer, but it seems rather expensie.

Chiropractors are anti-scientific quacks. Don’t waste your time.

If you want to study real medicine with some aspects of vertebral manipulation, consider going to a School of Osteopathy and become an Osteopathic Physician.

postscript:
Chiropractors like to advertise themselves as "back doctors/specialists", but rarely let patients know about their true beliefs. Chiropraxy has nothing to do with modern science or medicine. Chiropractors – at least those who are termed Palmer "straights" – believe that all illness is caused by blockages in the spine – what they call subluxations (magic – because nobody can see them). These chiropractors claim to cure disease by "unblocking" the spine. On slow news days, newspapers and TV stations use to take kids with ear infection to chiropractors, who would often prescribe an expensive series of spinal manipulations for the kid.

Chiropractors who reject or downplay the Palmer "subluxation" orthodoxy are called "mixers". They’re the ones you see at "health fairs" waving refrigerator magnets above patients to align their spines and remove impurities in the blood – and lighten the patients’ wallets….
